Within these activities, Emira Travel Service plans a 1/2 day or one day program for the cruises that come throngh «La Goulette» port. |
1/2 Day
A half day trip by boat to the ancient ruins at Carthage, the archeologic site; The punic ports, the trophet or sanctuary, the amphitheatre and the Antonine baths. A visit after that to the most photographed white village in Tunisia, Sidi Bou Said. From the top of the town, spectacular views reveal the beauty and expanse of the Bay of Tunis. White houses and sky-blue doors make one picture where colours are in harmony.
This visit to Sidi Bou Said is followed by a visit to Tunis to visit the Medina and to have a short time in souks to return at the end of this trip to the Goulette port.
1 Day :
One day trip to Bardo Museum. Where there’s an archaeological site or a local museum, the complaint here is always the same « of course, the best of our (finds) went to the Bardo ». The museum in a 19th century palace on the west side of Tunis, has indeed creamed off the indispensable highlights of many centuries of the nation’s culture. The irreplaceable collection fills scores of rooms in a palace fit for a king - or in this case a Bey - A continuation to Tunis to visit the Medina and souks where all the intrigue, animation and fragrance of yore just beyond the modern capital city.
The lunch will be typically Tunisian. After lunch, a visit to the ancient ruins of Carthage :
The amphitheatre, Antonin Baths, the trophet and the punic ports
This visit is followd by a visit to the most photographed town a white - and - blue village to sigh over, Sidi Bou Said. Returning via La Goulette.
